The exhibition presents film through the lens of film. Lenbachhaus invited contemporary directors to engage with Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau’s work.
In this context Ulrike Ottinger developed the film ALOHA under use of outtakes of Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau's TABU (1931) as well as excerpts of her own further films.
